I see a lot of people doing what you did. That is part of the reason I don't want to do it. If this doesn't work out I have another idea.

You don't have to get to fancy. It's just a brake stay. You'll figure it out.

I'm talking about the brake pivot. Not the brake stay. It doesn't have to be fancy. I just don't like the pivot just stuck on a piece of tube welded to the frame.

Pivot /Stay whatever you want to call it. I don't think the tube thing is hideous. What ever works. You just have alot going on in that area. Just keep it simple.

I came home for a weekend to work on the bike finally. I got my torches set up and bent the fender struts to mount the fender. Then I pushed her outside to enjoy a beer while I thought about riding.

I came home for labor day weekend and got my brake stay made and mounted as well as the brake pivot tacked in....
Now I'm pretty much done with all the fab work except some finish welding...
She should be on the road by January.

Well I fired her up tonight. Such a great feeling. She's "finished" but I already want to change a few things. Mainly the paint. Nonetheless though.... done.
