Kick Only, Is the heavy ground from starter needed?

Hey guys, quick question. My bike is kick only with a small battery. Do I need to use that heavy ground coming off the starter or can it be deleted?

If it's kick only, why do you even need/have a starter????

The starter grounds through the mount bolts to the engine. The cable on the starter is power to the starter. Yes, it can be removed.

You also do not need to use the heavy battery cables either with a kick only. You can use 14 gage wire which is much more flexible and easier to route allowing you to install the tiny battery anywhere.

Thanks guys, I used the cable last year and I was pretty sure I didn't need it. I just wanted to make sure before I get rid of it.
