LED Turn signal lights - question

I am mounting LED turn signal lights in my 1982 xs650sj heritage special, however the mounts (4 of them) for the turn signals have bulbs 180 degrees and not straight on at 90 degrees. As you may know LED work in straight line. Will this create a problem or not, will reflective amber lens solve this?? Will there be enough light? Should I get amber lights since lens are amber? Anybody done this... please let me know?
