Still lots to do, but the 82 is an easy start, run perfect bike now with the local boys paint job on it.

Picked up this '82 XS650 H/S back in October for the grand total of $100, with the promise I'd get it on the road.

Charging system was shot, so I did the PMA/Pamco swap, repainted the bike(didn't like the repainted mismatched tank/pinstripes done by the PO) and just put the MikesXS slash cut mufflers on the bike, along with all the other prerequisite work a 30yr old bike needs to get roadworthy. This forum was nothing but help for this whole process, first time ever seriously wrenching on a bike and feeling pretty proud of myself for actually getting something going.

The bike now, with me atop it(pre-exhaust):

I think the semi-matte black really works on this bike, and for a rattlecan job, I think it came out pretty good.
 
1973 yamaha tx650 all restored original condition like new!! will very soon be fore sale.

I just bought this a week ago. I'm thinking less now about changing anything...these things are a blast to ride !.........my first post !
