Anyone have a brace of this style laying around, interested in parting with? Used by dirt track racers running no front fender.

Intended setup is early front end with 34mm tubes/sliders.

Thanks reply. Saw that one. Appears to be for a dirt bike. Not wide enough at lower section for span to connect to fork sliders.

My understanding is if not exact slip fit (too wide or not enough) will induce fork stiction.

Probably a machinist could manipulate to get to that slip fit configuration. Don’t know any good ones in my area.

My measurements show it needs to be the following for early front end with disk brake.

Slip fit - 5-1/8 to 5-3/16”
130.18 - 131.76mm

Height from mtg holes - 4-3/4 to 5”
120.65 - 127mm

Mtg holes ctr-to-ctr: 60mm (2-3/8”)

Width - 4”@bottom , 4.25” @ wider section
101.60mm , 107.95mm
for tire width I am running

All 5 of my trackers had/have this style of fork brace. All were 35mm forks. Height from the mounting hole was always a concern. I usually had to fill the factory mounting holes and drill them at a lower place to fit and give proper tire clearance. There are 2 types of mounting legs on this type of brace. The one`s I used on the xs650 fork lowers were the one`s that are straight on the sides. They give more clearance and mount directly to the XS650 lowers. The other style curves in at the bottom and will require spacers to mount and are harder to fit with the front tire on the forks.

Thanks for reply on this. Did you have to tweak the width for fitment or when you found the correct one it was a slip fit (dropped right in - lined up) minus the drilling new mounting holes to raise the brace height relative to tire?

Any spare around your shop or lead on finding one? Most on web are for dirt bikes - skinner tire accommodation.

Still on fence if this still will significantly help over the later design beefier braces like Telefix/Tarozzi. Going for period look, so half interest is aesthetic.

As I remember they dropped right in and fit tight to be snugged up with the 4 bolts. The curved one`s I pictured are on a set of narrow Betor trees so they did not require the spacers. They were/are a pain in the ass. Good searches are Flat Track motorcycle parts, AHRMA, Ceriani, Betor, and Vintage Flat Track.

Thanks. Will take a look. I am going to have to employ some level of spacer to clear the front caliper hard line as incorporated in stock fender on early bikes.

Not an issue with proper Flat tracker.
