The magazine just came out but I found it on their website. Barnett's owns an HD dealership in El Paso Texas and publishes a couple of magazines.

Yeah, I read that too and wondered how much carbon fiber mounts would actually help? Seems a very interesting idea, but I can't imagine it would do enough to make a noticeable difference.

Good artical, well he didnt make it into a street tracker he sold it to a friend of mine in Roswell, NM. He will race it for the first time this weekend, if I remember to take some photos I'll post some on here.

The previous owner mentioned at 50 years of age he might be a little to old to be vintage flattracking, what makes this story nice is my friend is 74 years young and he still hauls the mail.

Some more photos, Looks like my friend changed the seat on the Yamaha that was in the magazine. I like the solo seat better.

I'm adding one more picture that I have always liked, The late Ricky Grahm on an XS and one of Eddie Lawson.

I was bummed out that the article didn't talk much about the build of the bike with all the mods and maybe a dyno. I want to know the specifics of dropping all that weight and power increase. Obviously aluminum frame, small tank, and things like that were done but I was hoping for and article more like this one: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/features/122_1009_triumph_tracker_streetmaster/
