Making springers shorter?

So this is a theory that I kind of just thought of, but idk if it'll work out or not. Lets say you want to make springer setup shorter by just 2 inches. Could you simply replace the springs, all 4 of them with ones that are slightly shorter? I could see this not working because they're created to specific length and are optimized there. Idk it was just a quikc thought, what do you guys think? anyone tried this before?

changing the springs will not change the length of the main legs...

you can flip the rockers and lower it about 1.5" from what I have read. Cheap, easy and free.

Forgot about that. So by flipping them, you mean just simply turning them upside down but still face the same direction?

I would really like to know where this info is coming from? The brand of springer was never mentioned unless I am missing something therefor it is still in question if this would work or not. Most springers are different in their rocker setup...
