Bore out the cylinders to accept a set of big bore sleeves. Has anyone done it, seen it, or heard it? All I keep finding big bore kit this and that...

That bike is too rad! I share the drool struggle ass we speak. But you're saying the stock cylinders can be bored and resleeved?

The bottom case has to be bored to take the extra size of the over, over sized sleeves. And the barrels have to be bored to take the extra large sleeves.

The cases have to be strengthened to take the over abundance of horse power. That is where the stress eventually breaks through

650skull I recently had a conversation with an xs650 builder regarding those exact concerns. I've heard that 70 horse power is the limit of the case, but I was assured by this particular engine builder that with a rephase you can see 70 hp without your case coming apart. Granted you keep the stroke relatively stock, I imagine if you put more stroke into the engine it could very easily blow a stock case's brains out.
