Hey guys

I'm in need of some new carb holders as mine are suffering from years in a barn. I know there has been questions of quality, but I'd like the barbs from the ones on Mikesxs as I have my carbs ALMOST tuned by ear but I can't seem to get them perfectly spot on no matter how thoroughly I clean and tune them. However, Mike's has them listed only for the 80-84 (which I know they were stock on). I have a '76 with the stock tank and petcocks. Would I be able to use these or would I be better off trying to find some replacements and add a barb to them?

Your 1976 carburetors have ports for manometer barbs; you don't need barbs in the carb boots. Buy a pair of Tour Max boots (K&L's house brand). They're Japanese made, OE quality, easily available from 650 Central. Any 6x1.0 mm. barb will thread into the plugged synch ports on your carbs for manometer hookup. Order those from 650 Central too while you're at it.
