Thanks XSLeo. The reason why I asked was that I was thinking the wheels may flex laterally under load quite a bit. Don't really want the caliper and wheel to meet haha! Looks like i've got 2-3mm so I am thinking it'll be fine.
The mag wheels won't flex any at all. They are very strong. They are made very heavy.
Even a spoke wheel won't flex unless the spokes are loose.
Motorcycle wheels don't get much lateral stress. Even when cornering the wheels don't get much stress. When cornering the bike leans over and the forces are still mostly straight through from the bike to the ground.
In a side car or trike you get some lateral forces on the wheels.
