I wanted to but had to work that night. I don't work too far from Ace Scooter and as I was walking to my car after work I saw someone on a cafe cruzing down Monroe and Jefferson. Didn't get a good look at it though to see if it was an XS. Made me more pissed that I had to miss it...

I went it was pretty lame this year. But I guess when your walking up and see 3 grown men ( I guess you could call them that) taking laps on there kikker kits scooters 4 and 5 times over and they park and take pictures of them together and discus how cool they are...ahhh yea pretty lame...
just doesnt seem right, Mods n Rockers in Chicago,its such a British 'thing' ..In the same way you Yanks must piss yourselves laughing at the English who dress up like cowboys for line dancing gigs here (thousands do!) or cruise around on HD's dressed in chaps & wearing Stars n Stripes bandanas ...

We piss ourselves laughing at the "Yanks" who dress up like cowboys too!!
Going without cowboy clothes in the Texas summer is like going without your big coat in the Chicago winter. I have found.

We don't get sunburn in Texas. We get open air medium rare! I work in the yard in long sleeves in 100+ degree heat. The skin just can't take it, and you sweat so profusely, you can't keep sunscreen on.
Roy Rogers just wore fancied-up Texas survival clothing. The boots keep the foot-long centipedes and the tarantulas out of your shoes. The big hat, well, for the next three months in Austin the sky won't be broken by a single cloud, it will be over 100F, it was 109F yesterday. Before it hit 100 a guy on the radio was explaining that there were clouds still in the morning. Yep, when that went away it became like a different planet! If you spend any time outside you will either have a big hat, or a sheik of araby rag over your head and neck.
