My 81' "Bratt" build

Finally got the engine shoehorned in.:yikes:

Looks pretty good. Still have a lot to do. Paint the wheels, polish engine parts, assemble, wire and the list goes on. Some day I might get to ride it. :bike:

It will be a bit before I get anything else done on it as I am going out of town. It is getting closer!

Back in town & have started wiring this beast. It has been a little more of a pain than what I had planned. Trying to hide away as much of the wiring as I can in the back bone & left lower part of the frame.
[/IMG]
Still working on the wiring for the front end.
[/IMG]
Got the rectifier/regulator & the horn successfully moved to the front engine mount with all the wiring running from under the seat through the left lower part of the frame.

Well finally made some progress:
Got the headlight, turn signals, speedo, progressive rear shocks, pipes, intake & carb on. Still messing with getting the wiring all buttoned up.

Ran into a bit of an issue though. I don't have room for the igniter box under the seat. I really wanted a Pamco anyway. So, I have a new Pamco on order. Still have plenty to do.

nice, are those highway pegs? did you make them?

also, are those single piece raised drag bars? can't tell from the pic.

are you reusing the old wiring harness and modifying it?

They are TC Brother forwards that I picked up from someone on the forum. They did not come with the mounts and I dont like the TC Brother's mounting system anyway so I made my own.
They are drag bars from Mikes, Custom Riser Type - Chrome Part #25-1099

I used very little of the original wiring harness. Used a few connectors with very little of the original wiring, tossed the rest. This is the diagram that came up with and am using. Seems to work so far.

got it! Im thining about putting highway pegs on mine because I like the mid stance but once in a while it's nice to stretch it out.

great build, looking forward to the finished product. you got some cool unique elements to this build.

Wicked pipes and a great build so far

Thanks, cant wait to get it on the road. Always seems like there is something that slows it up. :)

I want to start making affordable exhaust for these bikes. I have some ideas that are close to yours. I like when they dump out the same side like that.
