Any thoughts on the fork rebound? Have any of you run into that problem after rebuilding these 'older' style forks ? I put 7oz of 15wt oil in each tube.

Great bike and real nice turnout... for usd1000 your keeping it tight, but following all the great advise here, will help you along way, doing it by yourself.

nah, their screwup was using the wrong design of rubber seals.
The layered seal design may be OK for stopping rain leaking under roofing nails but not so much for keeping oil inside engines.
And while putting copper washers in there definitely works OK what they should have used is Dowty Seals.

77 Damper rods have no anti top out springs. Here is a link, go to 5Twins post #12, this explains it and shows a tip to help solve the prob. Read the whole thread for relevant info
