This is the way i bought her. $300 for a titled bike. she didn't run at all when i got her, the tci box was shot, and the seat was upholstered in a wonderful duct tape finish. it took me 4 hours to get it running, smoking like a fool, but running. did about 50 miles on her that first day.

Purchase date was sept. 2014.

i had it like that for a while, rode quite a bit. i had a lot of fun the way it was, and then the tci pick up fell off. i replaced it but the mount was a little crusty... knowing i had some work to do, i decided to do a little cutting and mock up. unfortunately, i haven't documented all that well so i only have pics of after the ordeal. DCC seat, Loaded gun rearsets, and a 2into1 exhaust. i traded i guy for spoke wheels at some point and had my self a nice little cafe bike for around $1500, tagged titled and driving

I may not have stated it before, but I'm a law student at the University of Oklahoma. time was limited and i didn't get to doing much during finals. I got back and rode it around some more, until that fateful day in February of this year. As i rounded the corner to pull back in to my road, the revs went up and then power disappeared. The most awful sound you've ever heard came in and i know something was wrong. It turned out, the rod on the #1 cylinder was done, and the pistons looked horrible. i still have them and i will add the pics of them later. i was then left with a choice, do i find a motor and keep this thing on the cheap... or do i go all out, balls to the wall, and do the thing up right...

Balls to the wall it is..

fully disassembled, i made some decisions. i ordered a 700 kit, slide carbs, a shell #1 cam, and a remanufactured head from Gary Hoos. I had a buddy teach me the ways of porting and we ran through the head and ported and polished her up a little. i called hughs hand built and and got Hugh to help me out with a rephase, and PMA, fork brace, oil cooler, new motor mounts. I called MMM at 650 central and got heavy duty progressive springs, cartridge emulators, seals and the works, wheel bearings etc. i lowered the front 1" and plan to punch through the tree for another. picked up some gas pistons off of an old ducati for the back end as well as some brass bushings.
