I was out scavenging the flea market and found this tool bagged up with everything in it. I cant find out much about it other then it must be 70ish judging by the fact yamaha specs only go up to the xs1 , other bike specs listed are Vincent,Pirelli , and many more classics.
The Idea Is using the micrometer like tool threaded into the spark plug hole touching the piston, and using the test light to accuately time the engine .
Not sure it is any better then using a test light and the marks already on the stator but for 5 bucks it is another tool for the box.
Just curious if anyone used one of these...thought,opinions? There is a formula you need to get the time accurate when the spark plug is at an angle. I`m guessing the plug on my XS is at 30 degrees, is that right?
