This is just a small problem. How to diconnect the wire from the neutral switch on the top of the gearbox area. The manual says it is held with a spring clip. The cover on mine is quite hard and I can not feel a clip in it. It,s got to be easy, I just need someone to tell me how.

I think most use a set screw, at least the newer ones anyway. You'll have to pop the rubber cover off and see.

The top of the switch has a small phillps head screw. The wire has a forked metal piece.
I can see where they might call the metal piece a spring clip.

Some of the earlier bikes did not have the screw in the neutral switch. It had a peg sticking up with a spring around it. The wire was just a had a bit of the outside stripped off. You pushed the spring down and slipped the bare wire throgh a hole in the peg. The spring held the wire in the hole.
