I just got my cylinders bored and a set of new pistons. Does it matter which side they go on if they are new?

Pistons can be different sizes
A proper machinist would have used the new pistons to bore to, and told you which piston goes to which side.
A proper machinist would also have told you that to bore a sleeve without the pistons is not the proper way to do things.

He did have the pistons. He just didn't mark which one was left and right. Maybe they were the same size? I guess I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Welcome to the site. If the pistons were unmarked it probably doesn't matter witch one goes where.

Thanks. I just got an email back from the machinist. He said they were both the exact same size.
