Working 12 volt International Harvester Unity headlight. Shows a little wear, and has a couple of minor marks, but otherwise nice.
Has a Made in USA General Electric sealed lamp. Replacement PAR 46 lamps are inexpensive and readily available in amber and clear, and in a variety of beam patterns.
Make offer. This is a good-looking, hard-to-find vintage light.
This is a single-element lamp, but a ballast resistor can be wired like the diagram above to make an inspector think it is a high-low bulb. When the switch is open or "off'" voltage passes through the resistor, and the lamp appears dim and looks like a low-beam. When the switch is closed or "on," full voltage goes to the lamp and it looks like a high-beam. I tested a few ballast resistors on this lamp, and a 10 Watt, 1.5 Ohm resistor gives a good HI/LO effect. More pics attached.
