I very casually know the owner, Danny. He used to work at a motorcycle shop back in the day, and has been working out of his garage for a decades. He is an XS650 expert mechanic. He owns excellent examples of all of the early XS650 years -- I guess he's down-sizing as he gets older. I'm sure the bike is excellent mechanically. The asking price of 3,500 is excellent for Austin, which has the most inflated vintage motorcycle market in the world.

You talk'n to ME boy?

Struck a nerve, did we?
Didn't think you were close enuff to that fork...

C'mon TwoMany, go for it. You can see that the engine has all the proper bells and whistles.

Yeah, it's my favorite version, the earlier XS1B, with the case gussets.
Dangit!

Yeah!!!! Dont you want a bike with a nail instead of a cotter pin?

Yup, my kinda mechanic owns that.
He knows whut works.

You’ll have to change your handle to ThreeManyX1Bs :D ...

Egads, that means finding room for it.
Grudgingly, I think I'll hafta pass...
