Good day all, hoping someone can help. I picked up a 1979 bobber project half-done last August and just finished the project - total engine rebuild, complete rewire, the whole nine. Photos coming soon, as soon as the last remaining part arrives (swapping out original gauges). In the process I stripped off the original ignition switch and replaced the fusebox with motogadget m.unit, so I'm using my phone as the key effectively. As a result, I'd prefer not to still have to carry a keychain for the fuel tank.

Anybody happen to know of a non-locking replacement fuel cap replacement? Photos attached of the current fitting - I believe (but am not 100% certain) that it is the original.

Not sure of any non locking caps, but you could always take apart the lock mechanism and remove all the teeth inside and then put it back together. I did that and any key that fits, or flathead, or nickel opens the gas cap
