Hi all I hope you are well itd been a while .... I have just removed my Carbs from my Honda VT1100 c2 Shadow ACE 1999 Stock jetting should be 42 Pilot 180 main Front cylinder 185 main rear cylinder.
On inspection I had 42 Pilot and 175 mains in both Carbs?????
Bike is Made in the USA 1999, has Vance & Hines staright shots unrestricted ( no baffles) and K&N filter I live in the Uk very near sea level .
I stripped the carbs and cleaned them they are in perfect condition .
I asumed that the stock jetting would be as stated above, but was surprised to see 175 mains in both carbs.
The reason I have stripped the carbs and checked Jetting it that I had decleration pop which i did rectify but the mixture screws were almost 5 turns out so went in to see what was going on.
Rule of thumb is 3 up on the pilot and 7 to 10 on the mains
Plan is to fit 45 Pilots and then rejet Mains But fiiting 180 front and 185 Rear mains brings it to stock with the upgraded pipes and air filter
Question ... is what size mains do I go for I have ordered 182,187,190,192,195, which equates to +7 and +10 from stock jetting... have any of you fellas rejetted aVT1100c2 ACE with a C32 engine like mine in the Uk and if so what is your setup ....
many thank Funky
