Notching the neck tube for tapered bearings

First time: screwed up and installed a bottom race on top, had to extract. Other times: extraction of corroded OE (not XS650) tapered roller races from a neglected frame, extraction of good races and roller bearings from bent frame, etc. Haven't worn out a set of tapered rollers; gotta love that Bel-Ray waterproof grease!
I kinda wondered if someone would actually wear out a set.
