Oil type

Hey everyone, I think my plates are sticking together. My bike sits alot. I read that Yamalub 10w40 ATV oil is good for that. There is also quicksilver full synthetic both on Amazon the full synthetic is only a couple bucks more. What do you guys think. Thanks!

That would be motorcycle oil. It’s for engines also lubricating the clutch in the same case. Anything labeled as such is fine.

I feel 10W-40 is a bit thin for these bikes. Most of us use a 20W-50. I tried that 15W-40 diesel oil but didn't care for the increased topend noise that thinner weight resulted in.

The OEM calls for 20W40. Due to its absence, 20W50 is preferred.
