As XSLeo has requested this, and I think it's a great idea, I want to start this thread up for OLD bikes.

Anything I think pre -'s should be acceptable, UNLESS you have a later bike with family in the photo. The older, the better!

I'll start............

My granddad on his(unknown at the moment) motorcycle in the 40's

When my Pops got discharged from the USAAF in early 1946, he drove his '39 Olds Club Coupe to California and traded it for this Indian Four, and rode back to St Louis.

Dad on his 42 WLA, Dad with his 36 Ford Coupe, Dad's eldest brother Max with his Ariel. The two of Dad are early 40's, the pic of Uncle Max I'm not sure.

And just for something a little different, I found this online but it is a very interesting bike IMO. Apparently it's a 1950 BSA ZB34 that's been cafe'd

The bike in #7 is quite the bitsa bike! Pre unit british transmssion, late model Upside down forks with (I believe, could be wrong) Norton drum front brake. That engine is definately one of a kind! The whole thing is Steam Punk!

Frightening to think that we qualify for an 'old bikes pic' thread. Would've been great to have known you guys back then, I was the only XS650 in my crowd. Here's a `75 pic:

My Great Uncle and Aunt (brother and sister) 1934 is on the back of the photo. He told me motor cycles were a device of the devil.
Apart from being a Norton I have no idea of the bike he is on.

Me on Dads '68 CB 350, circa 1982 or so, and a young lady I used to keep company with on an early 70's high pipe Honda.

Is that a Virago in the background? CB350s are a fun bike.
