Just thought i would post my first builds progress after one year to get some feed back. I started with an E-Bay project/spares repair 1975 XS650. I Fitted a David Bird hardtail with 0" stretch and 2" drop which i altered as i did not like the triangle bits. I have used many ideas that i liked from other members on this site, so if you see something that looks like yours then thanks. I am trying to keep the bike simple and minimal, whilst trying to make as many of the parts myself. These include speedo delete, fork lowering spacers by 3", shaved forks, seat pan, handle bar bushes, respoking of wheels
and now i'm just trying to make a copper headlight.
I will be starting the engine rebuild shortly which will include Hugh's new CDI unit.
