Pamco and battery

This may be a dumb question but can i run a pamco using a battery and not a PMA?

Yes you can, no such thing as dumb questions man. You'll just use your stock alternator, same principle.

you can run a pamco, or indeed, any kinda iggy, on just a battery without any charging system at all; so long as the battery stays charged up.
"dead loss" iggys are one way to save weight on a race bike.

thank you, im trying to figure out why the charging system isnt working,i replaced the rotor and coils. all the wire endings are great no corrosion, and thers a brand new battery, the rectifier is working too. i just have the stator assembly to deal with. there was some shorting of grounding when i tested the wires. that may be it.
