I have been running a PMA and it been great but its made up from Yamaha RD/LC parts and running a Yuasa lead battery. For Lithium batteries the reg ulator rectifier must be compatible. I would be cautious about running a Lithium battery and an excited field alternator without further research but PMA and the correct reg/rec for Lithium batteries and you should be good.
