Tried kicking my '78 for the first time after finishing wiring last night. Has Pamco and banshee swap with Hugh's mounting products. Fuel looks good. Spark seems good. Have the capacitor jumped to a battery so plenty of juice. Still could only get a sputter at best. Checked Pamco...

The rotor was making contact with the small mounting screw on the electronics and putting a nice gouge in it. The advance side and rod are all stock. I didn't forget to put any of the other parts on. Still assuming it is user error but can anyone shed some light?

The non-start could be any number of things I realize. Thanks!

Did you ever remove the points housing? Maybe it wasn't put back on right and is sticking out too far, thus causing the Pamco plate to stick out too far.
