So the previous owner gave me an extra parts engine with my bike. The bastard hused a hammer and a chisel on one of the pistons and COMPLETELY destroyed it. The other piston is not useable for it's intended purpose but I think it would make a kick ass tail light on my bike.

I've been thinking on this and internet searching for weeks. There are a couple examples out there on the web but no good documentation on how it was done. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to accomplish this? Should the light go in the open end or come through the dome? Bear in mind that all i have is a drill press, welder, and hand tools. Hell if I had a lathe I could have had this done in a day or two.

Check here for the best example that I could find.
