Plastic chunks..

Changed the oil and I found plastic chunks in the filter.. Am I right in thinkin there probably from the chain guides? Don't have any pics but the kinda looked like gear teeth tho... So I dunno..
It's an 82 heritage special if that makes a diff

Crap.... It doesn't have a rattle or funny noise. Is it safe to ride? It's my daily and if I could get by without tearing into it till colder weather..

I would say ride it until the plastic comes off.
You will find it in the sump when it does. and it will sound like this when it comes off.
