pma problems

just ordered recieved a pma from mikes, instructions say 3 yellow a red,green,black from the regulator says red and black go to positive, green to neg, however the regulator that came in the kit has no black wire can i run just red wire to positive and green to neg? any help would be apreciated thanks brett

Yes. I also run a Rick Page PMA now sold by Mikes. I've had mine for a couple of years so he could have changed it a little. Here is how mine is wired. On my regulator the red and black are tied together at the connector. On the little harness that leaves the regulator and goes to the battery there are only 2 wires, one red to positive and a green that goes to ground. Hope this helps.
