Fixed it with 60 grit grinding wheel.

Thanks Man! Now I need to get the tapered roller neck bearings installed. Hopefully not as painful as the bushings

I just did tapered neck bearings, and if I can do it, you can do it.

THe heat/freezer trick helped.

I beat the parts in with a flat bar of copper, which is a softer metal and didn't marr the bearing materials.

Right on put the bearings in the freezer! Want to paint the lower tree first. Can't wait to get started.

J harbor freight has a very cheap but good bearing kit. Made doing mine real easy

I'll check Harbor Freight for my other build. Installed the tapered bearings this weekend. The hardest part were getting the upper and lower races installed.

Ground down bushing so pivot tube is out slightly. All greased up and ready to go.
