Port filler

The website says up to 250 degrees F. I have measured xs650 heads and they can get hotter than 300 degrees. I noticed the site suggests this epoxy can be used on intake ports... I suggest they mean on water cooled engines.

i certainly wouldn't use anything rated to just 250*F.

i have another fresh porting thread going that opens up this topic. i know i've read accounts of using JBweld, which is rated to 550*F, just not sure if it's bomb proof. AFAIK, it's ONLY recommended for intakes. i may go that route next time.

Go to a garden tractor pulling site and see what they use. My son is involved with that stuff and they do it a lot on highly stressed air cooled engines. Contact Vogel Manufacturing in Effingham, Illinois. They are the tech whizzes on this stuff.

Thanks for the advice, do you guys have any good link on porting the 650 head? Im looking for all that I can get especially information on the D shaped ports. I appreciate any info that your willing to let go.
