I am a newbie to this forum, but not to bikes, or building. My name is Jim, I am from Minnesota, and into metal work of all sorts. I have a machine shop and make custom stuff for my projects.
I have been looking for an XS650 for a couple of years, and finally found one that i could afford (Picture below). It is a 78 special, 12,700 miles, and I got it for $225.00.
I picked it up 3 days ago, and right now it is stripped down to motor, frame and wheels. I am in the design phase, and am going back and forth between brat and bobber. I have been reading a lot of your design build threads, and I will be back with questions as I get more into this.
