Progressive 13.5" ?

I read in classified section a person who bought Progressive shocks at 13.5".
But they interfered with his mufflers..thus he sold them..
I am considering the same length 12 series Progressive shocks..but I am concerned that they will will fit without interfering the mufflers..Currently the ones on there are 12.5" from center of the mount holes...
So before i plunk down my money i want to be sure these will fit..It looks like they would fit but i am seeking out the wisdom of the XS650 cognoscenti...

You have after market mufflers which do not have the interference issue as do the stock "Special" mufflers.

If there is a clearance issue, just shim your mufflers out a little bit more. 13.5" is a good shock length to use.

Appreciate your input..MMM at 650Central is whom i would be buying from..if he is still in business..he hasnt answered my email in over a week...

Once I have accumulated all the necessary parts and tools i will delve into this bike..I'm hoping to hold a tech day with some of my local ADVrider buds who have experience with chains ans sprockets and can guide me through it. Have rthe grease gun and grease for the Swingarm..Shocks this month..next month chain,sprockets and hopefully tires as well..Its fun living from one check to the next...

The Series 12 will force you to modify the chain guard for clearance. The Series 14 oil damped shock is slimmer and will bolt on with no fitment issues.
