Here's my build thread. I bought my frame LAST October, so this is long overdue, but seeing as it's taken me this long to get close to being "finished", I might as well throw it on here.

Boring back-story/inspiration for the build: I grew up with five uncles that were all heavily into building Harleys (pics below) and I guess I got the real idea of building a bike at about age 16, but never acted on it until now (age 24). My Dad had a few bikes when he got out of the military and then had a close friend suffer some pretty serious life-long injuries from a crash on his bike, so it kind of spooked him into getting rid of them, unfortunately.

Anyways, here's some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Seat, tank, fender, pegs mounted (I'll get some better pictures this weekend). Gotta finish my brake set-up this coming weekend along with the sissy bar (in the mail) and chain tensioner. After that we're ready for paint.

So I believe I've finally purchased all of the spacers I need (accompanied by some washers). This is my rear axle set up...is it in the right order? And am I missing anything? Only thing that I know that's still missing is the little ring that fits over the internal bearing spacer that keeps it centered inside the hub, but it's on it's way (and I've been told it's not even necessary as long as you can get everything in there straight without it).

The order is (left to right): axle adjuster, spacer, top hat spacer, internal bearing spacer, drum brake, spool spacer (not pictured, on it's way), axle adjuster. Is that right?

Your uncle is Caleb Owens, how cool is that. His Born Free build was sick. Your bike is looking good so far, good job.

Here's a couple pictures I took yesterday of it sitting in the garage. Not having my own tools and means to finish it is real frustrating. Nice to have friends that help you out though! Sissy bar showed up yesterday also, thanks to a dude off chopcult. It's about a 1/2" too wide where it bolts to the frame, but shouldn't be an issue. I think it'll look just right when it's all mounted. I'm also second-guessing the white grips. My initial thought was that they would look killer with the paint (reeeeeeal dark high gloss purple frame, tank, fender, everything), but I don't know, they look kinda goofy. Guess I'll have to wait for paint to decide.
