MikesXS has a Reed Type PVC valve listed. It's supposed to create a negative crankcase pressure. Has anyone tried it and if so what is your feedback?

I think the brake booster check valve mod everyone is doing has the same effect.

Could use a power brake check valve, as such: http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5794&highlight=oil+breather if that is what you are trying to accomplish.

I got one of these reed valves cheap on eBay last year, removed the mounting bracket it came with and shortened the nipple a bit to fit it in between the engine and frame on my '82SJ. On the discharge side of the valve, I use one of the 90 degree rubber hoses that formerly fed breather exhaust into the air cleaners. Bought a couple rubber caps at ACE to plug off the ports into the air cleaners. Losing the hose that used to come off the breather opens up enough space to get a small gas filter in between the carbs.
