Question on XS650 & XS500 original mufflers 1976

I have a set of original mufflers from a XS500 (1976) In the past I owned a 1977 xs650,

They look like the exact same mufflers to me and they fit either model, my question is are they the same style and fit
mufflers?

The header pipes are different, that I see.

They have different part numbers and seem to differ slightly at the rear mount and at the crossover. So no, they're not the same part. That doesn't mean you couldn't adapt them, though. If you're looking for a nice replacement muffler, I highly recommend the Commando mufflers from Mike's. Nice fit, look, performance, and sound .....
