random high idle

Sometimes on my '75 xs650 (seems to be only when it's warm) I'll be sitting somewhere in neutral or with the clutch disengaged, the idle well go up to somewhere between 3-4000 rpm. I have Mikuni round slide carbs.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Also as far as I know, the only engine mods are higher compression, and a washer with some holes in it replaced the baffles.
