Anyone got some really bright turn signals or brake lights?

Pictures? LED or Bulbs? Modified or bought that way?

Just finished re-reading a very good thread that was just bumped up.
"1157 led " check it out. Not very far below your thread.

Cool, noted. I however am looking for options outside of stock lighting. Though the 1157 turn signal bulbs can be quite bright.

I don't like LEDs because in use they are only a distinct spot instead of lighting the entire brake light/taillight lens.

Try out a 2357 bulb. It will fit the 1157 socket. The taillight is the same wattage but the brake light is 7 watts more than the 1157. Doesn't sound like much but it is noticably brighter when you hit the brakes. I like to 'wake-up' those following me.

I've swapped DOT LED fixtures, both using the original housing and by cutting the boards out and fixing them to the stock tailight lenses. No problems after 3 years.
I'm thinking the $5 2" clearance lights at HF could be robbed of the boards for turn signal replacements.
