Anybody know the size of the rear axle bolt threads? I need to get a die for it, because I buggered up the threads when I put the back tire back on.

The axle is a 20mm diameter. That may be tough to find a die for. Might be cheaper just to buy a used axle.

1.5 x 18 is the thread. A metric thread chase file, usually in stock at most auto supply stores should be enough to clean up the worst threads. If you have never used one mash up a spare bolt and practice a bit before doing the axle thread. It's patience and slow going that will get the job done best. hint use the threads on the good part to slowly work your way through the mashed up threads. Uh just so I heard, I uh have never mashed a thread myself, you see???

The files are nice because they have 8 different thread pitches so will chase nearly any metric thread. They also let you work out from the good thread so the threads align, the die has to come in from the bad end and may not line up as well when it gets to the good threads.

OH one more cheap fix get a 1.5 x 18 nut and hack saw some slots through the threads a cheap make do die. with time and patience a ordinary small triangular file will chase threads. When you get close, GREASE the nut really well, run it on, back off if it binds repeat till it runs decent.
