Rear Drum hub

I have my rear wheel off and apart and polished the rear hub. I had the rear brake lever off the hub and had where it went marked and like an idiot I polished off my mark. How far from the center of the hole where it links to the brake rod to the center of the hole where the tension bar bolts? I want to get this lever at the right angle on the splines.

- its dark outside here at the moment, but by finger sight, with a tape measure, i have measured 150mm or 6in from centre to centre unadjusted...this will give you a rough idea, it can quite easily be readjusted a spline or 2 either way to suit

I think, actually, I am done with the rear wheel now. Now to get the tension bar and swing arm powder coated and the needle bearing kit, new pivot nut and bolt installed and get it back on the bike! C'mon warm weather!

The best position for the brake arm for maximum leverage is to have the arm at 90% to the linkage when the brake is applied.
