Hi,
I have some Virago xv1100 Rear shocks on my bike but they don't seem heavy enough and sometimes hitting a bump at speed with a passenger the back tyre hits the fender. Hole to hole they seem to be about 12". Just wondering what people are using on there brat, bobber, choppers to lower the back but provide good shock absorption without too much travel etc?
Cheers.
Dave.

Hi Dave,
perhaps you don't need different shocks, but stiffer springs on the shocks you already have?
Remember that if your Brat conversion rakes the shocks at more than their stock angle that'll reduce their effective spring rate.
Research what the Virago shocks spring rate is, if the Virago shocks can be dismantled and if you can get heavier springs for them.

Hi Dave

Have a chat with guys at Hagon. Really helpful and they buil you a set of springs for weight, ride height, style etc etc. plus they're really helpful and less expensive than a lot of off the shelf kit. They built me some Hagon Nitros for my Harley I've just finished - brilliant
