Top end and right cover off. Bottom end stuffed with rags to prevent anything unwanted from falling in. Is there any time concerns for having everything open? Will residual oil keep everything coated and protected for an extended amount of time? Been about two weeks, will be about two more before everything buttoned up. Thanks.

No worries mate. Lads leave them open for many, many months.
 
no problems. as you put it back to gether, use assembly lube, and re-coat everything in your desired moto oil
 
I just finished some clutch work while top end getting vapor blasted. Then read a post by Hugh in a "stuck in neutral" thread and he said something about assembly drying out and sticking together...plates and fiber rusting together. Is this a concern?
