Removal of 8 long studs

Am I inviting problems if I remove the long head/cylinder studs while I clean the cases? I can imagine threads galling from steel in aluminum, or having one seize and break and on reassembly not getting them properly seated. Should I just leave them in and work around them?

Leave them be. It takes a lot to get them out. I broke a stud puller trying.
