I found this paint remover at Lowe's:
Jasco, Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover.
This is kick-ass stripper. It melted/crinkled the clear coat within 15 minutes and it did not stain or attack the aluminum. I didn't have to polish the surface afterwards. The guy at Lowe's said it was good, he was right.
