Rubber Mounting

Has anyone tried to rubber mount a xs engine before? Just a thought, it would cut down on the vibrations a lot.

Yeah it's been done but generally not worth the extensive effort. You would have to basically build a new frame. Yamaha kind of commissioned one back in the day there is a recent thread about a rubber mount frame with pictures here;http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9055

or you could rephase it, and get the carbs right, nice street tires for the same effort/price.
