I have a 1982 Heritage Special that I am working on and was just wondering what the average running temperature of the motor would be? I have installed a Trail Tech Vapor speedometer which has a temperature gauge on it with a warning light for high temp. Just wondering what to set it at?

Thanks

Read my post #10 in the above thread, including the links.
Most helpful to you will be post #24 in that thread. At 225 sump I read about 290 at the head right next to the plug. I think you should begin to worry when the sump gets to 260, so that would extrapolate to 325 at the head next to the plug. That's what I'd set the warning light to and see what happens.
Ultimately, you are going to have to do some of your own research and determine what to set your warning light at yourself.
