Wanted - Seat Cover

Anyone know where a person can buy a good seat cover for an XS seat like this one? As far as I know it is off of a 1976. Though the manner in which I collect things it could be from any year.

I see some on Ebay that can be ordered from Thailand.

It appears that the covers made by Saddleman are no long being made.

I also seem to be missing something for the seat latch that bolts to the frame, anyone have any pictures of that piece?

The shape of that shown seat is definitely not the 76 flat shape. I believe you have a 78-79 Special seat foam and base there covered with an aftermarket or made cover.

Yes looks a lot like that one. I wondered about it maybe having been covered before, there are no pleats in the material.

The bottom line formed by the sheet metal on the standard seats is rather straight, the specials have a noticeable "low point" then head back up. These match the top line of the different side covers used. There is also a difference in the height of the hinge brackets and latch between the two types.

I'm going to take that seat cover off pretty soon and see what's under there, will have a good look at the bottom line.
Do you happen to know Gary, what I am missing for that latch on the bottom of the seat to hook onto the frame?

I have three XS's now, but only this one with and OEM seat.

I do have a new seat foam and cover for 78 Special. PM if interested

Took the old cover off this morning and the foam was in pretty good shape.

Discovered though that the seat lock mechanism that I had acquired from somewhere must be off of a newer bike, not the same as the pictures that were kindly posted or matching up to the mounting holes.

So looks like the hunt is on for the 1978/79 seat lock mechanism.

Anyone have any experience with the seat cover that they sell at XS650 Direct? Guessing the same one as the Mikes XS web site has? Only other ones I see around are on Ebay from Thailand.
