Hello all...its been a while since I've been on here.

I still periodically drop in to check classifieds but I've been pretty pre-occupied building my 30 x 42 foot shop.

Now that its pretty well caught up, my mind has drifted back to potential Street Tracker builds with all my spare bikes, parts, wheels, etc...

I have several sets of shouldered rims and two 1981 Specials that I want to make into Street Trackers.

Will those early standard model shouldered rims fit on the Special forks and swing arms?

Will I need to do some machining?

Yes, I did a search but didn't come up with many conclusive answers believe it or not.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, they will fit right on. If the fronts are '76 or older, you'll need to swap the '81 disc onto them. The offset on the discs changed in '77 (but not the mounting bolt pattern).

Yes, all axles and spacers should be the same.
